Islam, the un-meadiated truth

Islamophobia - an invention of the Media

I saw an interesting tweet regarding the ISIS takeover of large parts of Iraq and Syria last year; it showed a long stream of Christian women and children refugees walking through the desert with the caption "are these Islamophobics?". One picture can tell more than a thousand words. I also saw thousands of Muslims being welcomed into Munich railway station. The difference in the refugee types were that in Munich they were nearly all men. Our Prayer Crusader - St Cecilia informed me that most of the Muslim refugees are in fact men. Once they have claimed asylum they will send for their wives and families who in turn will send for theirs so the one million refugees arriving last year in Western Europe will turn into 5 million in no time at all.

Am I being Islamophobic? Or am I just stating the obvious? I'm not going to go into the fact that there has been yet another terrible atrocity; there have simply been too many of these in recent years. Recent years? It's always been like this. Islam has always taken over other counties by force then converted them by the sword, never by missionary work as per Christianity. In fact as far as Catholics are concerned we can never use force to convert, it's part of our faith. However, in contrast Muslims can, - it's part of their faith. In 1095 Pope Urban II called the first Crusade; the terrible death toll of unarmed Christian pilgrims to the Holy Land and the pleas of the Byzantine Emperor for help left him little choice. The armies of Islam had taken over most of his lands, coupled with the fact that three quarters of Christendom had been overrun by Islam in the eleventh century meant that if Christians failed to do something they would cease to exist.

I doubt that you actually heard this story or perhaps you've heard a warped version of it on the BBC whereby peace loving innocent Muslims were attacked by ruthless land grabbing Crusaders and all that nonsense!

The Western media really have let the West down with regards to Islam by not telling the truth; even today the media has found many peace loving Muslims to tell us that Islam is a peaceful religion and that to say otherwise is all just Islamophobia.

  1. Prayer Crusader St Cecilia says: this is a very apposite post. I would make two points. Not having a television I cannot comment on Aaqil Ahmed's religious programming for BBC TV but I would remind everyone that the BBC were quite openly desperate to appoint him as their Head of Religious Programmes; so much so that they did not advertise his post or interview anyone else for it - his appointment was a fait accompli. Why? It was claimed he was good at his job. He was also a Muslim; you can draw the inference for yourselves.
My second point is about the incredible and open bias of the BBC against Christianity. For my sins I still listen occasionally to BBC Radio 4 news. About a year after the Islamic State over-ran Mosul and sent Christians and Yazidis fleeing, some organisation - I forget which - published a report detailing the horror of sex slavery to which Islamic State was subjecting Christian and Yazidi women. BBC Radio 4 did a special report on this in their 'News at One' programme. I was astounded when the entire report concentrated on the suffering of Yazidi women without once - not once! - mentioning the equal suffering of Christian women which the recently published report had equally highlighted. It was blatant and despicable 'partial reporting' by the BBC. I wondered if I should complain but we all know what the BBC does with complaints from the wrong sort of listener... Apropos of nothing, that's why I'm rather pleased that John Whitingdale has been sacked as Culture Secretary. Apart from his less than savoury private life, he gave the BBC more or less all they wanted in his recent review of their Charter instead of taking an axe to them.

  3. BBC contributors are quick to point the finger to right wing extremists for the Munich attacks and if this is true then we condemn them without reserve but without knowing what happened is this just the BBC being so pro-Islam?
