The Four Horsemen

The Four Horsemen of a modern apocalypse

In the book of Revelation are described the four horsemen that will appear at the end times. Now I'm not really one for believing that the end times are just around the corner, this has happened so often in the history of Christianity. However, if we look at the extraordinary events of today one could be forgiven for believing that something is afoot. We have the fall of the West into decadence of every kind, the rise of Islam throughout the world, the culture of death with euthanasia and abortions riding roughshod over humanity. So who are the four horsemen and how can their symbolism be applied to today?

The First Horseman on a White Horse - Revelation 6:2 "I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.” This could represent the Antichrist, perhaps a leader or a high ranking churchman who cloaks his misdeeds in fine sounding speeches that sound so generous and yet he crushes all who oppose him.

The Second Horseman on a Fiery Red Horse - Revelation 6:4  “Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.” This could represent the war that the LGBT agendas are waging on the innocent, especially the young, causing many to jeopardise their souls with perverse lifestyles.

The Third Horseman on a Black Horse - Revelation 6:5-6 “...and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!’ The Black Horse represents famine, the famine caused by wars and the war the media wages on the truth. Famine of truth, the support the media give to the nonsense of Islam and the famine that will follow their wars.

The fourth Horseman on a pale Horse - Revelation 6:8 “I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.” This Horse carries disease the disease and death that is inevitable because of the above.
