Smoggie Queens

Just when you think the BBC cannot go any lower, they make Smoggie Queens, which is supposed to be a comedy series about a group of Alphabet People drag queens in Middlesbrough. Again this is little more than BBC social engineering, another attempt to push the 'Message' as some call it. All the usual tropes are present, the depiction of anyone who stands up for traditional family values as right-wing bigots, the drag queens are downtrodden victims, and that these people who dress in outlandish sexualised clothing, and wear bondage doggie masks are actually quite normal.

Here is the dialogue between a drag queen and some fetish-clad youngsters:

Note the careful manipulation of the TV audience by the scriptwriter and the director.

Older drag Queen talks to some youngsters 

              Leather-clad fetish youngster:

          Why have you never told us about your son?

 

              Older Drag Queen

          Nobody ever asked.

 

              Leather-clad fetish youngster:

                        Do you see him much?

              

               Older Drag Queen

              (Sad victim-type look as he gazes into the                    distance)

                        Oh, not in a long time; his mum stopped me seeing him                when she found out I did drag.

              Leather-clad fetish youngster:

          How was she allowed to do that?

               Older Drag Queen

          Well, back in the day, dad in a frock didn't have a leg to stand on when it came to custody.

In the world we live in, they would just as sooner come at us with a pitchfork.

So they are so downtrodden that the compulsory funded BBC make an expensive TV series about them? It costs £200,000 per 30 minute episode. Which means they are spending over a million pounds on this rubbish in total.

Let's have another look at how BBC scriptwriters and directors attempt to normalize the abnormal. I can just imagine the script now.

CUT TO:

INT.-

Club scene,

Intense rhythmic rave music, mainly male dancers gyrating to the beat, Leather clad, some in black see-through tops, lots of black leather and policeman's hats, ... with studs.

Directly in front of camera, a normal-looking young man in a white vest with a bottle of wholesome beer in his hand speaks to another man in a leather bondage facemask.

Vest-clad young man with a bottle of beer says in a quaint northern accent

     They've closed tut junction on the A19, nightmare!

 

So normal, so wholesome, that's the message here! They even talk about road works in this sexualised setting.

I make no apology for continuing with CUT, and with 500,000 turning off the BBC in the last year, we say good; let's hope that another 500,000 stop paying the licence fee next year. Go woke, go broke, are you listening, Vatican!

I've not seen this programme, nor do I intend to, and as I do not have a TV or pay the license fee, it's not going to happen. However, I am picking up articles and clips on YouTube, and as this is a good reason for Catholics and other Christians to give up the evil box, I felt I should comment on it.

However, they continue to insist, it's not perverted it's completely normal - "Bacardi and Coke, please"
